Summer Birthday Card feat. Lawn Fawn Bee Happy Background Stencils

Marieke created this buzzing birthday card using the Lawn Fawn Bee Happy Background Stencils and the Giant Let's Celebrate die. The Bee Happy Background Stencil set includes four stencils that you can layer to create a fun bee-themed background. To add color, Marieke used Distress Ink with the Vaessen Creative Round Finger Daubers. These have a round tip and feel like a little sponge, making it easy to dab ink onto the small stencil shapes. You can also use detail blending brushes for this, but you have to turn or spin the brushes to add the ink, which can be tricky when the stencil shapes are small or delicate. Marieke finished the card with the Giant Let's Celebrate die and used a light-colored cardstock so the focus stays on the beautiful inked background. To make sure the light-colored sentiment would stand out a little, she offset it with a black shadow.
