Heat Embossed Graduation Card feat. Lawn Fawn All The Grad Caps
Jarle created this gorgeous graduation card using the Lawn Fawn All the Grad Caps stamps and gold embossing powder. Last week, we shared a version where the graduation caps were stamped in black ink. In this version, the caps are stamped with a clear, sticky embossing ink and then coated with embossing powder. When heated with a heat tool, the powder melts and creates a beautiful raised gold outline.
To color the graduation caps, Jarle used Polychromos colored pencils. These oil-based pencils feel firmer and less creamy, giving you more control—perfect for fine details and realistic shading. They also allow you to build up multiple layers without the surface becoming too waxy or slick, making it easier to create depth and smooth gradients.
Colored pencils are a great alternative to inks and markers, and with summer coming up, they’re easy to take with you on the go. (Also the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a new pencil pouch!)
